This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get Core Membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get Core Membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Yeah yeah yeah, I exist here again. For quite awhile I was existing elsewhere... An amazing place that I've talked of often, but have never truly felt like I was able to capture the magic of the place with mere words; Oregon Country Fair.
The place is a balm upon my soul. A mana pool that never runs dry. Even though it often wrings *me* completely dry. That place can bring me to my highest, but it also never hesitates to knock me on my ass. Every time I return to site I think that I will have things figured out that year, but I'm always proved wrong rather swiftly in some new and interesting way. I've begun to worry that that place might be the predictable high point of my year, which -like any really sweet high- creates it's own micro depression after it has passed...
Ever since I joined Pre-Fair Kitchen Crew back in 2010 I've slowly become aware of but unable to articulate a certain reality. This year it was illuminated for me- I've lost June and the first half of July for the last 6 years. Over a month of each year. You want to spend 4th of July with your family? You have a *new* family now!
Deal with it.
And once I did return to the unFair world, a handful of my Fair family followed me back to take up temporary residence on my front porch and in my living room. It prolonged the come down quite a bit. It also really pushed at my boundaries; turns out I'm way more hospitable than I would have originally guessed. Also I've begun to take more responsibility of the space around me. Really practicing as much 'leave it better than you found it' as I can. (basically doing a lot of dishes and picking up of cigarette butts...)
So yeah, I ended up not drawing much during that time... (or at least not drawing much that is suitable to being posted here...)
But I'm changing that.
Oh! And 3 more things-
1- I'm going to Burning Man this year. I don't know when, nor do I know how, but it's gonna happen.
