You know, I believe in the Christian faith, but I did -alot- of self-searching before I settled down with it.
I honestly think that people that blindly believe whatever they are raised with, without trying to at least stop, take a minute, actually -study- it and see if it's right for them are a huge problem in the world.
I have a friend who told her parents that she wanted a religion. Her parents gave her a giant book on world religions, and told her to write an essay for all of the major ones, and then she got to choose which one she wanted to follow. She now follows the Hinu faith.
When she told me this I just started laughing. I think that was one of the best ideas invoving religion that Ive herd.

Wow! I've heard of that level of ignorance before, too! It's hilarious when people are like, "shit, he probably wasn't stark-white like I've always pictured. ." Right down there with those who say they don't believe in seemingly random bits of very obviously real life. I've never actually heard it, but I'd like to think the next time I hear it, it'd be something like, "No. I don't beliieeeeve in salt." or "What? No. My religion doesn't beliiiieeeeve in black people. Myth." ahah mini-rant. .

Your Darkest Dreams is a monthly feature devoted to sharing dark photography works from DeviantArt. Often misunderstood as "morbid" or "depressing", Your Darkest Dreams seeks to show this kind of photography in a new way: by showcasing art that is thought provoking, but at the same time unabashedly displays the beauty in darkness.
A former volunteer with the Artist Relations team, `kuschelirmel has always been a wonderful role model within the community.
