for the last few days i've been wanting to draw somthing about the holocaust (i just finished reading Maus) then last night i stumbled across this peice >>> [link] <<< . after looking at it i opened photoshop and did this. i dont care so much about the figures, i think the colors and textures are more important for this peice.
...
it also is a peice for the 100 theam challange i'm doing. you find the details in my journal.
You read mouse, too? Pretty awesome, I hardly met people who even know Spiegelman. (Since I'm German, it's even more interesting).
The picture is a very good symbolization of the holocaust and - with the man balded - also very expressing the current situation about nationalsocialism.
i'm jewish (with german haritage) and i always found the holocaust intresting (in a very morbid way) so i'm trying to find out more stuff about it. when i found the two maus books i showed them to my mother and she got all exited because she is a big fan of Spiegelmans work.

This is so good. The concept of the piece is really goos and you took a really great approach, but the craftsmanship of the piece is really incredible. Nice job.
